for 1863, with round, blued 5 1/2in. barrel signed 'ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA.', fluted cylinder stamped within one of the flutes 'PAT SEPT 10 1850 ', open iron frame signed 'COLT'S PATENT', brass grip-straps and trigger-guard bow (traces of plating) and marked '36 CAL', plain walnut smooth one-piece grip and creeping under-barrel rammer, much finish and colour remaining
